Viet Nam Tinh Hoa, supported by North London Collegiate School International, blends Vietnamese cultural heritage with NLCS’s 170-year legacy of academic excellence. We offer rigorous academics, a dual-language program and personalized care through small classes. Our teachers and our students are our greatest assets. With a thriving Primary phase established for three years, we are excited to launch our first senior school year group in August 2025 and an exciting hybrid enrichment programme to a wider community from January 2026 at the latest.
The position would suit an experienced, flexible and well-qualified secondary or middle-school teacher of English. Developing and offering an integrated Grade 6 humanities course is an important part of the work. Experience of international education would be an advantage, but not a pre-requisite.
Context
The school will open its first Grade 6 (UK Year 7) in August 2025. This will be a small cohort following a programme of study based on the International Baccalaureate’s (IB’s) Middle Years Programme (IBMYP). Our first Year 7 classes will be taught in newly designed learning spaces on the Junior campus in 2025.
In January 2026 the school will open a hybrid online and in-person enrichment programme for students aged 11 to 13 who aspire to enter the school as full-time students in Grades 6, 7 and 8 in August 2026. A new, purpose-built senior school is planned for opening open by August 2027.
Position Overview
This is a truly unique opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic teacher to establish and shape new school-based MYP programmes, first for Grade 6 (Year 7) students and then for students in Grades 7 and 8.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and teaching Grade 6 (Year 7) programmes of learning for
• English Language and Literature
• English Language Acquisition
• The VNTH MYP Individuals in Society course
The candidate appointed will also play a key role in the development of an innovative academic hybrid outreach and enrichment programme for students who wish to join the school from August 2026.
There is scope for this role to develop into a middle leadership position as the school and the outreach enrichment programme grow.
