The Senior School will open with Years 7 -9 (ages 11-14) on a purpose-built campus, designed to provide state-of-the-art facilities for senior education. Position Overview
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic English Language and Literature teacher to establish and shape a new MYP English Language and Literature programme. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building strong foundations for English in our growing secondary school. There is scope for this role to develop into a Head of Department role for the right candidate.

Professional qualifications:
• Teaching qualification
• Bachelor's degree in English Literature
• IB MYP Category 1 training
Professional experience:
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in English Literature/English Language & Literature at secondary level
• Experience with or strong understanding of IB MYP English
• Experience in curriculum development and design
• A qualification and experience in working with students for whom English is an additional language is an advantage
Duties & responsibilities:
The core responsibilities will include:
Teaching & Learning:
• Teach MYP English Language and Literature across grades 7-9
• Create engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Assess and report on student progress using MYP criteria
• Integrate technology effectively in English instruction
Programme Development:
• Establish and document the MYP English Language and Literature curriculum for Years 7-9
• Develop course outlines, unit plans, and resources
• Create assessment tasks and rubrics aligned with MYP criteria
• Work with other subject teachers to develop interdisciplinary opportunities
• Manage English resources and budget
Additional Responsibilities:
• Offer at least one extra-curricular activity
• Contribute to the school's pastoral care programme by acting as a form tutor
• Participate in whole-school events and duties
• Maintain effective communication with parents
• Engage in continuous professional development
Safeguarding:
• Understand and implement the school's safeguarding policies
• Complete required safeguarding training
• Report any concerns to the designated safeguarding lead
